Every story leads us somewhere, and sometimes we find ourselves following a path we hadn’t expected.

This is our corner of Places Remember for the bits and pieces gathered along the way: stray field notes, unexpected discoveries and little detours that don’t quite belong in the Journal.

We’ll also share a glimpse of how we bring the podcast to life, from the first threads of research to the voices and sounds you hear. There’ll be news, work in progress and the occasional musing—much like the conversations that carry on after the microphones have been switched off.
